Why replace the filter cartridge?

The New Wave Shower Filter Cartridge lasts for about 1 year, and we recommend replacing it annually. A new filter removes 98% of chlorine, and that after a year of use, that effectiveness drops to about 87%.

For easier filter replacement, we recommend soaking the whole system in 1 gallon of hot water and 1 tablespoon of white vinegar for 10-15 minutes. Remove while it’s still hot and turn the unit counter-clockwise.
