1 Diverter Valve ~ Replacement Part for New Wave Enviro 10 Stage Water Filters
This is a replacement diverter valve for countertop water filters. If your diverter valve is broken or not working properly, you don’t need to replace the entire water filter housing. All you need is a new valve, which you can install yourself without a plumber. The diverter valve is the piece that redirects the water from the faucet to the filter. It installs on the end of your faucet (the aerator) and connects to the tubing that runs to the filter housing.
This New Wave Enviro Water Filter Replacement Diverter Valve is compatible with:
- The New Wave Enviro 10-Stage Countertop Water Filter System
- Most countertop water filters that have a 1/4" OD tubing
How do I know if I need a new water filter diverter valve?
If water comes out of the faucet and the filter spigot at the same time, you probably need a new diverter valve.
If the pin on the diverter valve is getting stuck or not closing on its own, first try cleaning and lubricating the valve before ordering a new one. Remove the valve and let it soak in a 50/50 hot water/vinegar solution for 15 minutes. Then, place a couple of drops of vegetable oil in the small hole of the valve. Gently jiggle the pin in and out a few times to spread the oil. Re-attach the diverter valve and test it out. If this doesn’t do the trick, you may need to replace the valve.
