How long does the filter last?

The New Wave Shower Filter lasts for about 1 year, and we recommend replacing the cartridge annually. A new filter removes 98% of chlorine, and that after a year of use, that effectiveness drops to about 87%. For easier filter replacement, we recommend soaking the whole system in 1 gallon of hot water and 1 tablespoon of white vinegar for 10-15 minutes. Remove while it’s still hot and turn the unit counter-clockwise.

Warranty

The housing of the shower filter is protected by a one year manufacturer’s warranty—this covers defects and cracks. The filter itself is not eligible for warranty, as its longevity depends on water conditions and usage.
